Our story我们的故事
Sound of Rain was formed in 2024 by two longtime friends—a guitarist and a drummer—who decided to build a band together around their shared love of music. As more like-minded musicians joined, the group grew into today’s six-member, dual-vocal lineup.雨音乐队成立于2024年，源自一位吉他手与一位鼓手之间多年的友谊和共同的音乐理想。两人决定一起组建乐队，随后逐渐吸纳更多志同道合的乐手，形成如今的六人双主唱阵容。
The band began performing publicly in 2025 and formally established Sound of Rain Association, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit fostering musical and cultural exchange through live performance and community engagement.乐队于2025年开始公开演出，并正式成立 Sound of Rain Association——一个通过现场音乐和社区活动促进音乐文化交流的 501(c)(3) 非营利组织。
In the traditional Chinese pentatonic scale—gong, shang, jue, zhi and yu—the note yu (羽) shares its pronunciation with rain, yu (雨). The name also reflects Seattle, the rainy city the band calls home.在中国传统五声音阶“宫、商、角、徵、羽”中，“羽”与“雨”同音；而西雅图又以多雨闻名。“雨音”连接了中国音乐传统与我们生活、演出的城市。
